The Takeuchi TB135 is a compact mini-excavator designed for confined-site excavation work where larger equipment cannot operate efficiently. It sits within the established Takeuchi line of compact construction machines, a Japanese manufacturer recognized in the European market for build quality in the mini-excavator segment. Its dimensions and operating weight place it in the smaller end of the mini-excavator class, making it suited to both urban and rural project environments.
Mini-excavators in this class are commonly deployed on residential groundworks, utility trenching, landscaping, and drainage installation where access is restricted. They are also used in agricultural settings for ditching and land preparation, as well as on municipal maintenance contracts requiring a low ground-pressure machine. The compact footprint allows operation in walled gardens, alongside structures, and on sites where ground disturbance must be minimized.
Prospective buyers should commission a full mechanical inspection prior to purchase, paying particular attention to undercarriage wear, including track condition, rollers, and sprockets, as these components represent significant replacement costs on any mini-excavator. The condition of the boom, arm, and bucket pins and bushings should be assessed for play and lubrication history. Hydraulic hose integrity, cylinder seal condition, and any evidence of oil weeping at the control valve are standard inspection priorities. Service records confirming regular fluid changes and filter replacements add material confidence to any used machine in this class.
Current European market data places the TB135 at an average transaction level of EUR 21,500, with the documented price range also anchored at EUR 21,500. Takeuchi competes in the compact excavator segment alongside established manufacturers including Kubota, Yanmar, and Bobcat, brands that offer comparable equipment in this size class. Buyers should benchmark any specific unit against this reference figure when evaluating asking prices from sellers in the region.
