The XCMG XE35 is a mini-excavator produced by XCMG, one of China's largest construction equipment manufacturers. It sits in the compact excavator class, designed to deliver digging, trenching, and earthmoving capability in a reduced footprint suitable for confined working environments. As a 3.5-tonne class machine, it occupies a well-established segment of the European compact equipment market.
Mini-excavators in this class are routinely deployed on utility installation, landscaping, drainage works, and foundation preparation where site access or surface protection restricts the use of larger machines. Their compact dimensions make them well suited to urban construction, residential projects, and work inside existing structures or walled yards. Attachment compatibility, typically including buckets, breakers, and augers, extends their utility across groundworks and civil maintenance tasks.
Prospective buyers should inspect the undercarriage thoroughly, including rubber tracks, rollers, and idlers, as these are high-wear components on mini-excavators. The condition of the boom, arm, and bucket pins and bushings should be assessed for play or wear, and all hydraulic hoses and cylinders should be checked for leaks or chafing. Service history documentation, availability of local parts support, and dealer network coverage are particularly relevant considerations when purchasing a brand with a shorter European service footprint. A function test of all auxiliary hydraulic circuits and attachment couplers is advisable before purchase.
Available market data places the XCMG XE35 at a European market average of EUR 23,950, with the recorded price range also centred on EUR 23,950, reflecting limited current price dispersion in observed listings. XCMG competes in the European mini-excavator segment against established brands including Kubota, Yanmar, Caterpillar, and Bobcat, where the Chinese manufacturer typically positions on price accessibility relative to those incumbents.
